Cover Design Services

Want an inexpensive, quality book cover?

I’m looking to expand my services into cover design, so in June I’m doing a very limited number of at-cost book covers (just the cost of the stock photos). You need a strong cover. When we get together, we both win!

How does it work? First we start with ideas you may have or inspiration from covers you like. I’ll make a some sketch versions of possible covers and through trial rounds we’ll weed through possibles and tweak designs you like until we have the winner.

Please note, I strongly recommend working through some possibilities with me first over buying stock on your own and asking me to work with it. That way we can make sure you have the appropriate license to use your images in a book cover and we can make sure we have a concept that works before investing in the images.

For each design, I’ll be happy to do ebook, print, and audiobook covers, as well as a 3D book image. If you’re interested, head on over to the contact page and tell me about your book and the timeline you need for cover completion. Then we can see if we’ll be a good fit for your project.

Now, I’m betting you’d probably like to see a sample of my designs so you know what sort of work you may be getting. Just look below. I’d describe my style as ranging from classic to a bit quirky.

Above is an illustration I created to accompany a micro-fiction story I had published at Postcard Poems and Prose. Please note, I did not do the text placement for the story as it appears on PP&P. This journal asks that writer-artists submit text and images in separate files, to be arranged by an editor.
